Life has its own pace, and there’s no good or bad in it.

There’s an inspirational saying:
“In this world, there’s no standard life; there’s only a customized one. And the rhythm of this customized life is in your hands.”
Throughout one’s life, what matters most isn’t living better than others, but finding your own rhythm and living this life accordingly.
Everyone has their unique rhythm, their own time zone in life.
Just like that widely circulated creative poem from long ago:
New York time is three hours ahead of California time,
But California time doesn’t slow down.
Some graduate at 22,
But wait five years to find a good job;
Obama retired at 55,
Trump started as president at 70.
Everyone in this world has their own time zone,
And within it, their own rhythm.
Some may start fast, while others may start late, but each step taken with conviction ensures the outcome won’t be too bad.
Life has its pace, devoid of good or bad. There’s no need for envy, nor should one fret. Living your life well, without chasing or lagging behind, is the greatest respect for life.
“My childhood friend has already bought a house and a car, while I still live in a cramped rental, squeezing on the subway every day;
Former colleagues have achieved success, with a net worth of millions, while I’m stuck in the same place, just an ordinary employee;
All my friends have married and had children, with happy families, while I remain lonely…”
Every time we scroll through social media or learn about others’ recent developments, we often fall into anxiety. We might even wake up suddenly in the middle of the night, wiping away tears, and ask ourselves bitterly:
Why am I inferior in every aspect?
Why have I been left behind by peers so quickly?
Thus, we strive to catch up, accelerating our pace, but completely forgetting our own rhythm.
Thus, we become the clown learning to walk in Handan, not knowing which way to go.
I particularly like this passage:
“Graduating at 25 is still worth being proud of;
being happy at 30 without marriage is also a kind of success;
It’s perfectly fine to start a family after 35, or buy a house at 40 without embarrassment.
Don’t let anyone disrupt your rhythm.”
Everyone has different life goals, and we shouldn’t use others’ life coordinates to deny our own.
Don’t let anyone disrupt your rhythm; maintaining your rhythm is a form of experience and maturity.
As Tagore once said:
“The best things always come unexpectedly, so there’s no need to rush anxiously. Walk through each day at your own pace, steadily stepping through every today.”
Cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums in autumn, plum blossoms in winter; everything has its own time.
Each flower will bloom, just at different times. Each person’s life also has its unique flowering period.
You just need to cultivate yourself, and the rest is to await the day when the flowers bloom.
Murakami once wrote in his book and it becomes my life advice:
“No matter what everyone in the world says, I believe my feelings are correct. Regardless of how others see it, I will never disrupt my rhythm. Things I like can naturally be persisted in, and things I don’t like won’t last long.”
A person only truly lives if they persist in what they genuinely love.
Regarding marriage, it’s your life choice, not your life itself. Be patient; being alone is better than compromising with someone. Only when you meet a better version of yourself can you meet a better “other half.”
About work, do every task at hand to the best of your ability. Work hard during working hours, and after work, allocate some time to improve yourself. The time you desire will eventually come to you.
About life, do what truly brings you joy. Even if others don’t understand, only through love can you exert your utmost effort. When tired, take a rest; when weary, change your way.
Life isn’t a marathon; there’s never a so-called winner in life.
There’s no right or wrong in life; it’s just living according to your own wishes.
Everyone ultimately chooses different paths, living out their own brilliance.
The happiest thing in life is to live your life at your own pace.
As the uplifting line from the movie “Forever Young” goes:
“Love what you love, do what you do, only ask for the original heart, only ask for courage, without asking for directions.”
Finally, let me share a classic wisdom quote from Einstein:
“Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.”
Never envy others’ lives.
Live your life well, don’t compare with others, and what you want will eventually be yours.
Only in your own rhythm can you find the stage that truly belongs to you, where you can shine brightly.
